The Process

How It Works…

  • We’ll start with a relaxed phone call to connect, talk through your vision, and answer your questions.

This is simply a space to explore what you’re curious about and see if we’re a good fit.

    No pressure. No expectations.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll reserve your session date and begin preparing for your shoot.

  • On shoot day, you’ll be welcomed into the studio, treated to professional hair and makeup, and gently guided every step of the way.

    • You do not need to know how to pose.

    • You do not need prior experience.

    That’s my job.

We’ll move at your pace, create beautiful images together, and leave room for both softness and strength.

  • About 1–2 weeks after your session, you’ll return for your private image reveal.

You’ll see your images for the first time, and I’ll help you select and design artwork that feels meaningful to you.

This appointment is where everything comes together.

 FAQs

  • Perfect — that’s exactly how most of my clients feel before their session.

The women you see in my portfolio aren’t models. They’re everyday women of different ages, body types, and backgrounds who trusted the process and allowed themselves to be seen.

Boudoir isn’t about looking a certain way — it’s about being guided, supported, and photographed with intention. With professional lighting, thoughtful styling, and gentle posing, I’ll help you see yourself in a way that feels honest and beautiful.

You don’t need to change a thing to belong here.

  • Just you, me, and your hair & makeup artist. Always private. Always safe.

  • Every image you see at your reveal is professionally retouched for a polished, natural look. This includes removing temporary things like blemishes, bruises, scratches, and under-eye circles.

From there, additional retouching — such as softening cellulite, scars, stretch marks, or minimizing tattoos — is always optional and completely up to you.

Most clients are surprised by how much they already love their images and often choose far less retouching than they initially expected. We’ll make those decisions together after you’ve seen your portraits, so nothing is rushed or assumed.

The goal is never to change who you are — just to help you see yourself beautifully.

  • You don’t have to figure this out on your own.

You’ll receive a thoughtfully created wardrobe guide that walks you through what photographs beautifully, where to shop (if you want to), and how to choose pieces that help you feel confident and comfortable

You’ll also have access to the studio wardrobe, and I’ll help you style your looks together so nothing feels overwhelming or uncertain.

There’s no “right” way to dress for boudoir — we’ll choose what feels most like you.

  • Yes — that’s the entire intention behind the way I photograph and guide you.

Confidence comes from thoughtful lighting, angles, gentle posing, and creating an environment where you feel safe and supported. I’ll guide you through every pose and expression so you’re never left wondering what to do.

Professional retouching is always done with care and intention, focusing on polish rather than changing who you are. Together, we’ll decide what feels right once you’ve seen your images.

My goal isn’t to make you look like someone else — it’s to help you see yourself with more compassion, confidence, and appreciation than you may be used to.

  • Yes. We’ll connect for a one-on-one phone consultation before your session so we can talk through your vision, answer your questions, and make sure you feel fully prepared.

This is also a chance for us to get to know each other a bit before your shoot. You’ll never be left wondering what comes next — I’m here to guide you through the entire process.

If anything comes up along the way, email is the easiest way to reach me, and you’re always welcome to reach out at amber@amberfino.com.

  • The studio is located in the heart of downtown Spokane, Washington, inside a beautiful historic building at the corner of Riverside and Lincoln.

With large south-facing windows, the space is filled with soft natural light and offers a classic downtown view. The location is walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, and local shopping, making it easy to turn your session day into something special.

Exact studio details and arrival information are shared after booking to keep the space private and comfortable.

  • Your private image reveal takes place about one to two weeks after your portrait session.

You’ll see your images for the first time in a relaxed slideshow, and then we’ll design your artwork together at your own pace. I’ll guide you through the entire process so nothing feels confusing or rushed.

Studio samples are available so you can see and feel the quality of your artwork before making any decisions.

  • Your boudoir portraits are first and foremost a gift to yourself — a way to capture who you are in this season of your life.

Many clients choose to display their images privately in their home or keep them as a personal reminder of their strength, beauty, and confidence. Others love revisiting them during moments when they need to reconnect with themselves.

This is why printed artwork matters. Rather than living on a hard drive, your portraits become something tangible — custom-designed pieces you can return to for years to come.

However you choose to experience them, these images are meant to honor your body, your femininity, and the woman you are right now.

  • Most artwork is ready within approximately 2–6 weeks after your ordering appointment.

You’ll have the option to pick up your artwork in the studio or have it delivered discreetly, depending on your preference. I’ll keep you updated along the way so you always know what to expect.

  • Boudoir technically is a French word which means 'a woman's dressing Boudoir is intimate portraiture focused on confidence, connection, and self-expression. It’s not about being someone else — it’s about seeing yourself clearly.
